Replaced the stock display with the Bafang 500C Mini Display from Luna. Bike turns on, throttle works and PAS works. Haven’t been able to ride the bike due to the weather unfortunately. Remains to be seen if I have all the functions of the stock display mainly the different ride modes, Eco and Sport. I’ll keep updating this post on my results.

Isnt the battery display bar indicator incorrect for 52V batteries. (although the numerical voltage is correct)

I went down the path of BBSHD displays and finally settled on an eggrider and sw102 from eco-ebike (still deciding which one I like more). The eggrider is definately the
better display but you need a magnifyng glass to read it.

Isn’t @pushkar close to providing a new display that we could swap out for like $10 or something? I haven’t read an update on that in quite a while but I thought that was supposed to be fairly soon if memory serves.

In my mind the 500c is the perfect size. Not too large that it looks like a cell phone and not too small like the EggRider that it’s hard to see. The question is will I have full functionality of being able to switch modes.

Really interested in how the 500c works, not a big fan of giant cell phone sized display in center of bars, thats where I want to mount my cell phone! Don't need two cell phone sized displays. Would rather have minimal built in display and app on phone for more details and Nav etc. Really like the way Super73 does their small built in display with the app doing heavy lifting including firmware updates.

@Cuz Vinny any updates on how the display is working for you?
The display works fine but you don’t have the different modes, like eco or sport. I believe it defaults to sport. When I have time I want to see if I can set the mode using the display that came with the bike and if the 500C will retain the settings.

Just looks cleaner too based on some other pics you posted. Shame about lacking eco/sport I would prob program it with 1-3 being 750w equivalent of 1-5, 4 would be 1000w 5 equivalent, 5 would be 2300w full blast.

My Juiced RCS just has 5 levels and its fine, 1-3 seems to be class 2 pretty mellow, 4 is class 3 speed pedlec and 5 is just max controller output which is slightly above class 3 at 31 mph top speed.
