Does anyone have any experience with the Splined Carrier (CDX Lock Ring?) and rear rack problems described in this lengthy German forum?

https://www.pedelecforum.de/forum/index.php?threads/riese-müller-charger-supercharger-erfahrungsaustausch.52958/

It's the way the Gates CDX cog is held onto the Rohloff Hub, something about vibrations and excessive wear of CDX parts??
And the rear rack cracking and completely breaking in several places with several iterations from R&M to try and fix it.

Mine is vibrating under certain conditions and has a single? crack sound from the rear at the start of rear braking and when starting off from stand still, my T40 belt tension adjustment lock screws are tight and brakes are not loose in any way.

Apparently not everyone's GX is affected, in that they may have these older design parts in place but is not a problem for them.

My early model Supercharger GX Rohloff HS broke the rack completely after about 2000 km. Cracks appeared already at 1000 km I think.
I got a replacement part and hope it will last better. If not, I will take the original part to a alu welder and have it fixed.

As for the rear CDX cog I've not had the same problems as the german members describe. But then my bike hasn't gone that far yeat, only about 3000 km.
We'll see what happens. Apparently it wasn't a R&M specific problem but rather a Gates/Rohloff problem, for what it's worth.

A pic of the rear rack, it's the part where the folding lock is mounted. It just breaks at the weldings.

This was not the only first year issue. A bearing came loose on the Thudbuster seatpost. I saw it happening on a weekly basis and just pushed it back in whenever it was wandering out. Then I forgot it for some time and I noticed it has gone entirely.
I sorted this out with Cane Creek directly and got a entire bearing replacement kit. Now I have spare bearings for an indefinite future..

Hi, how's your replaced rack going now?

We've had issues with the lockring of the Rohloff loosening due to excessive belt tension.

The deep, resonant vibrations that can be felt while riding that we've run into were due to wear/deformation of the splines on either the Rohloff carrier or the Bosch drive unit due to the bike being ridden with loosened lockrings, again, being the result of running the belt tension too high, so if you're experiencing them I would strongly recommend checking the lockrings of both your Rohloff and your drive unit, if either are at all loose, then go further and check the splines of both - if they're damaged you'll be able to wiggle the cogs back and forth and see space between the cog and carrier splines.
