Sturmey Archer RX5_How to re-adjust shift cable tension correctly after reassembly

I had to replace the Sturmey Archer RX5 internal hub due to gear #3 slipping very badly. It required complete disassembly of the rear wheel, disc brake, shifting discs and the hub itself as well as re attching the rear sprocket.

After complete re-assembly, it seems that the shift-cable tension is a little too far out-of whack since I'm only able to select 2 gears out of 5 and the cable tension adjustment on the handle bar will only do so much (I believe that the handle bar adjustment is only for fine tuning)

There are 2 alignment pins on the surface of the rear sprocket and a "1st disc" with holes that slide over top with the letters "V" on the back. There is a "2nd disc" with an arm that slides over the axle with a notch. This arm then attaches to the shift cable which is mounted to the frame.

Is this just a matter of undoing the cable bolts and pulling on the cable until taught ? How do I know if it's enough or too much ? Isn't there some instruction/method for this set-up ?

Pro tip: Get some of this stuff (or similar) and lay the bike on its side with the drive side up. Put the Cleaner/Oil down and inside the hub from where the little chain goes in. Let it sit. Spin the wheel and repeat. Shift gears and repeat. The hub will be quiet and smooth. Coasting will become much faster, like a skater on ice. Just protect your floor with layers of cardboard. Residue cleans with soapy water and a wipe of nail polish remover.

It's a brand new replacement hub which looked like it's well greased inside. But, yes, it might be good a bit later.

I have to figure out why it's not going into 1st gear at all...the click shift just stops at 2nd gear and why it does not shift passed 3rd into 4th or 5th.

Strange. Disconnect the cable and reset? Seeing that the cable moves freely through the housing. Is there an off chance that the cable is between the motor and the frame? If so try a contiguous run of housing over the top of the bottom bracket, not under it where it could get pinched or make a sharp bend.

Sorry about that. I just meant to disconnect the cable at the clicker, move the shifter around and then put it into one and reconnect the clicker.
Here a couple of IGH hub bikes that I have made electric. They are mostly Nexus, some Alfines and Srams.
