Squeaky Motor

My bet is your brake is dragging a little.
 
I'm not skilled enough if the electronic explanation, but sounds like something to do with the controller and the electronics. The only things that touch in a motor are the bearings and the nylon gears. That sounds like neither of those.
 
That's turning by hand, forward. Looks like a geared motor, so it should freewheel. Tire's not rubbing, of course? Got a shoelace caught in the gears? Take off the wheel and squirt some WD40 down the axle?
 
I've read some hubs have rubber seals to protect from water and dirt. Maybe I was cleaning too meticulously that it rubs off the lubrication down there?
 
I've read about that on the front, but not the rear. That sounds like it might be worth a shot.
