I'm so happy Kam I feel as if I were you Bear in mind the Ortliebs require occasional maintenance. Tighten the screws in the panniers occasionally. Don't overload the bags. If already don't own it, fill the panniers with Ortlieb Commuter Ins
Currently my wheel size is set same as yours. The screenshot of the other person's 5.0 Vado is larger than ours. I was wondering what type of tires and or rims that makes his wheel size different than ours. Just curious. When it stops raining I will head over to lbs to get motor/display update. I'm thinking the rotation is affected as my Electraks are noticeably larger than my previously used Triggers? Please do. FWIW, the wheel circumference as recorded in my Vado is 2255 mm.
(Good point on BLEvo!)
Okay. I just had a closer look. On the sides of these Electraks it says 700 x 51 c and 51-622. Psi 30-65. Yours are 47-622? 89.26 is 1/2 more than what my Triggers were wheel size. Also, these Electraks are 29 × 2.0" So there is a difference. Just wondering if its the 1/2 inch wheel circumference the other person's 89.29 inches.Kam, I don't know. Ive only noticed the figure of 2255 mm (88.78 in) matches the Electraks perfectly.. That is, the display and the GPS match each other perfectly at the inflation pressure of 58 psi.
P.S. Whichever other tyres I tried, those were producing far more of rolling resistance than Electraks ever did, resulting in slower rides. I was riding in the rain at low 40s F with perfect road grip. The only reason I'm riding Schwalbe Marathon Winter Plus 28 x 2.0" is the ice on the roads now...
Also, the triggers I had on before were slightly off from my display according to 2255. I changed it in BLEvo to 88" and then converted it to metric which made BLEvo more accurate to the display than MC by .003. Not a huge difference but more accurate than MC.Kam, I don't know. I just found this from a website. 700 x 47 has larger wheel circumference than MC reports. Let me check out what BLEvo read more accurately to the display.This.
This.
I can only tell you Specialized used these tyres in high-speed Vado 5.0 in 2017 and still use Electrak 2.0, 51-622 in 2021 EU Vado 6.0. They defined the wheel circumference to 2255 mm at that time. These are the facts.
I made a mistake in saying closer. I should of said larger. 1.01 larger. I had a look in BLEvo. According to BLEvo 2268 converts to 89.3. As close as you can get to 89.29 in the App. Same with 88.8 being as close as you can get to 88.7 to convert it 2255. So the LBS set the other person's Vado 5 according to that chart. 700 x 47. (Screenshot). I will still test ride with GPS BLEvo wheel size to 90.3 and report my findings. I read MC used to have this function with the LEvo.Okay. Going to do experiment. Changed wheel size. To 90.3" per website instruction. Going to use GPS to test the accuracy of it. Closer to other person' s Vado wheel size of 89.29.
Kam, I made this observation, based on 50-622 Schwalbe Marathon Winter Plus tyres on my Vado:This would seem to be more accurate in estimation. 2293 wheel circumference.

So, I uninstalled BlEvo and then reinstalled. It detected my real wheel at 2300 mm. Converted to inches 90.6. Real miles is accurate to my display. But the other reading is way off in proportion to 2000 mm wheel. When I try to set the wheel size t0 2000 mm it only allows me to Ser at 2100 with a warning about speed/ law and may void my warranty? So the LBS derestricted my bike in the process of updating my motor?I got my motor/ display updated today but it now shows my wheel size as 2000 mm in MC
