Spam Posts

Is it just me or is anyone else seeing a rash of spam posts lately? All begin with "email..."

I've seen around 20 so far and have reported half as spam but no response from admin.

Same here, counted over 25 posts in 1 gate, reported it and no response from the Admin also, kind'a like the Oops, there been an error posts that are showing up all the time. May be this site is on limited time? I hope not.......

On another forum where I'm a moderator, we pretty much solved the problem by requiring human approval of all new accounts, with an open ended "why do you want to join this forum?" question.

All, thanks for you messages. We do our best to remove spam and we only manually approved new members. We also ask the same type of question "why do you want to join this forum?". When someone gives a good answer we approve them. So we do appreciate your help in identifying spam after the fact and we do our best to prevent it from happening to begin with.

The forum has been under attack for the last three weeks between AI and spammers, and we are doing what we can to mitigate the issues it is causing.

We apologize for the inconvenience it can cause.

Well, people are just as weird as the SPAM or AI stuff floating around out there. I just joined this week of September 2025 and had two complete strangers say that I was an AI and or must have been drunk when I wrote my humorous posts. The must have missed my user name "He-Who-Laughs-Last" (without the hyphens) Hewholaughslast. I used to tell my fellow soldiers that there is a huge parameter of IQ's in the military and the world. One guy in my squad/platoon in Panama had seven years of college and some guys had less than a high school education. I think some things go way over someone's head and they start ridiculing it or attacking it for lack of understanding it. You just have to figure out how to talk to some people based on their ability to understand what you're saying. That said, I imagine there are some peep's out there doing a side hustle to earn a few $$$ to boost their income. Who knows, they might be making the world a better place one Ebike at a time???

Yes AI is complicating things for sure. We don't want to be spammed, but we also don't want to reject new members that would like to join the community.

There is a thread by name "Just for fun". Don't expect to be perceived as funny if you join a Forum and say you will teach us about e-bikes after your two hour demo ride "Ha-Ha"!
