After his Pre sale, whatever that is, the bike will now be sold on IndieGogo.

When is the rest of the bike industry going to catch on?

Good looking bike.. Same basic eBike parts.. Nylon Belt option.

$499 + shipping
$649 + shipping for belt drive...

Very attractive and totally undercuts the commuter bikes out there.

Looks like this bike will not be as easy to upgrade the battery pack, since the Sondors battery box is a lot thinner.

Someone said it will be half the original bike's weight.. REally doubt that is a 29 lbs bike!

This "thin" Sondors is geared towards a different rider but I personally like their fat tire bike more as a recreational rider.

There were 1,000 offered for 'pre-sale' and now, 01/18/16 there are 350 left. We don't know anything about the bike, like the size of the battery, but it's a grabber price and 650 have signed up. Maybe he will sell 10,000 and suck the oxygen out of the ebike market a second year.

These days I could build a bike around a $400 high capacity battery pack. If my budget was $700, I'd scrounge a frame and use a basic rear hub motor. Wonder what that Bafang costs?

Nobody else could do this. He's going back to Indiegogo. He says we are going to get rid of all the cars. He looks like Andy Warhol, draped over the bike.

Beware of smart crazy looking people!

This bike will be stiff and the battery is only 36v 8.8ah... No upgrades shown.

With pedal assist it should give 20 miles at least..Just like a Porteur!

I agree with you George that all three will have an impact for this year. I also think that all three price their bikes at sweet spot for most consumer. I'm still debating on building my 1st ebike or buying one.

Wow, I don't know how this bike slipped out without me noticing!

I just wrote up my thoughts on the bike here.

I'm really impressed by this bike. It may create thousands of new ebike riders who will go on to buy more expensive models. And it'll probably really help the after-market community (Lunacycla, EM3EV, et al). The more ebikes there are out there, the bigger the market will be for upgrades and accessories. I bet a ton of people will be buying ThudBusters and city kits.

Anyone have any guesses at the price it'll be sold at on Indiegogo? I assume it'll go for $599 + shipping.

Sondors was my entry-drug-ebike.... I now have 4 stealths and a lightning rod's sm-block trek. ;).
I'm not sure this is reversible..... I need treatment...... soon... .ahhh I can't stop......... time for a reality series :)
