I cycle past this house all the time, its around the corner from my mothers.
It seems the old man lived alone with dementia for thirty years and no one came to see him.
He died last year, inside was completely first build original , a car parks there now, but not even the curtains have been touched.

Weather is turning nice, especially today, so all the horses are coming out.
The only thing is, the trail is kind of soft right now due to all the snow melting and some rain, so the horses make deep indentations that are very rough to ride over. Then there are the occasional horse pies to dodge. I almost ran over one today.

Beautiful Colnago road bike with quite a paint job from last week's Wednesday morning road ride out of Encinitas:
Ridden by a woman of roughly my age (77). High sentimental value, as her brother gave it to her before he passed away. She figures roughly 2005 vintage. Doesn't know if it's custom paint.
Mine was only 1 of 2 ebikes out of roughly 30. I rode the flats in OFF and the hills with just enough assist to make it possible but not easy to keep up. She kept up just fine with no help at all.
As one regular on this no-drop ride told me, "Happy to have ebikes along. What we really like are people who keep up, however that comes about." The pace is typically "conversational" (Zone 2).
