Early beta testing now. $500 equipment cost + $99/mo.

A local ISP got a $26,000,000 grant (i.e. tax money) to wire 2,000 local rural homes for high speed internet. They couldn't get it together. A larger out of town firm took their position and has started construction. The County government recently kicked in another $1,000,000 for the first 100 homes to 'expedite' the process. That works out to $13,000 for each home plus another $2,000 for each of the first 500 homes. Once connected the homes are projected to pay ~$125/mo for service. WOW! Makes Starlink look like a screaming bargin!
