New experience today. Was able to capture a picture from my 360 camera showing this good sized gator.

Can you outrun a gator on an Ebike?
My buddy rode by it on his Lectric normally and the gator didn't care. I went full sports mode 9 PAS, throttle. And that is why I was able to capture the full size. It jumped in the water due to the noise I generated. And yes, the ebikes can outrun the gator, but you need to serpentine, serpentine, serpentine.

Found a couple of those. Walking 3 abreast, with ear buds.
That's the worst — people to talk to and earbuds. In my experience, the average situational awareness in any group walking and talking at the same time is zero. Often, even my loud bell can't break the spell. And that's without earbuds!

Would we be better or worse off if dogs and gators wore earbuds? Could go either way.

And they will be the first to yell " YOU NEED TO SAY ON YOUR LEFT! " No matter how many warnings you gave.

You made my night, Phil! :)

We have a sign at some place in Warsaw, Poland: "Drive carefully! Common mergansers here!" I have not seen the bird ever but when I can see a father, two kids, and the mother riding in line, I always think to myself: "Caution! Mergansers!" :)

When we are on group road rides, a female friend always shouts "Auto!" whenever she can spot a car approaching. She eventually made it fun. While we were riding some bike path, she uttered this warning: "Caution! A BIKE!" :D

No matter if you actually yell "ON YER LEFT!" because if they can hear you, they usually step to THEIR left :D
I've noticed the same thing: At least 3 times out of 4, when pedestrians facing away from me finally hear my bell, their first move is to step left toward the center of the road/path, not the side.

Gotta be instinctive somehow, but hard to understand the survival value. Maybe sabertooth tigers after bigger game passed on the right back in the day.

I found myself on a trail that forked into two paths ahead. Standing motionless in the middle of the junction was a German shephard looking at me. I wondered which way he was going to move. As I drew closer and closer he remained perfectly still. I signaled left with my arm and passed. Only afterwards did I wonder how he could possibly know what that signal meant? DUH!

That looks like an outstanding trail to ride on, It may be me, but I don't see the GS dog, the only thing that stands out is about 3/4 of the way down on the right side, there is a dark object that I can't make out?
Was the GS dog OK, not lost/hurt or something else?
Tia,

Don I took that pic a bit farther down the trail after my seniors moment with the dog. I left the dog as I found him , alone with his thoughts.... (-:

This place's claim to fame is their baby burrito. Still kind of regret not taking our twins in when they were born to get my free burrito.
Now that's what I call a mucho burrito. I’m still waiting for the day when they start serving shrimp the size of babies’ arms.
