Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Wednesday night I had a fun but long band practice. When I got home I was heading upstairs with my load out which is 2 guitars in one bag, my Kemper amp in another etc. Just for fun I decided to trip going upstairs and smash my knee on hard wood. The only good thing was that there was no audience.
Next morning I was limping like a gimp on my way to get a double banger flu and covid shot. Opted out of a ride.
Yesterday the weather was spectacular. Was pushing 20C and gorgeous out. Thing is I was a tired, achy in the joints mess and still with a hurtin' knee.

I admonished myself into getting on the bike anyway. Try to shake it off. Headed down to River road and into the Greenway near Alex Fraser Bridge.
So nice and warm out. Likely the last gasp of good temps...

On the way, there were a few long patches of newly laid VERY large gravel laid down. These rocks were up to maybe 2" and NOT tamped down. Even on my bike this was extremely sketchy as the rocks were very loose. That was when I fully realized how much my joints/muscles were affected by both of those shots. Talk about trepidation and unease...

Pressed on until I saw this sign... again...

Yeah, well last time they weren't kidding, so I didn't feel like challenging it again today. Turned around.
Seems like all my choices are pretty much limited. I took the sign as a "sign"...

Decided to take a different route home and convalesce further...

Sadly only the weather was in your favour mate...hope the knee and the health improves for you!

So yesterday was a mess... I was admittedly a wreck.
Today was an improvement indeed. Muscle/joint difficulties somewhat abated, knee pain still there but a tad lessened.
Weather wise another stellar day despite the temp lowering again to 16C.

Had to do another Mud bay run.. Around here Fall means Fall, and in the 20-30km gusts the leaves looked like snow falling in places.
Very crunchy sounding...

The Greenway runs parallel to Hwy 91 for a bit, including this truck rest stop...

A coal train heading to Roberts Bank terminal...

What a day! The park was pretty darn busy. No surprise I suppose...

It's a great day to be a duck...

Water break...

Shady spots were rather cool, and I'm glad I wore my vest on top of two long sleeve layers...

This arterial road helps me get home with very little traffic...

Graphics applied to these utility access points (fiber, cable, copper) are fairly ubiquitous...

Three blocks from home...

Aggravated the knee, but so glad I went for it!

Around town, I’ve been taking my “big camera”. Forces me to slow down.

For some reason portrait pictures get rotated. It's a staircase with wheel well ramps connecting segments of the trail. There's a 90 degree turn at the landing so I can't get it in one image. I took two pictures, down and up. Pretty steep, not an issue with an analog bike but with the extra weight of an ebike it can be a challenge pushing it up without walk assist. Which is main reason I tend to avoid it on my Yamaha powered bike that BH disabled walk assist (why, just why BH?). Back in the day I used to put my non-assist bike on my shoulder and trot up the flights, then with my wife's bike, then with her two friend's bikes, then with my kid's bikes - those days are long gone, seems like a different lifetime.

Purely a guess, but I'd think that maybe it may have been BH that didn't enable the walk assist. Both my 2019 Giant, and now my 2021 Giant have functioning walk assist.
Just a guess, although we are talking about different manufacturers, and countries.

Apparently Yamaha allows bike manufacturers to set some of their own programming parameters. The walk assist button is there but not functional and there isn't any way to address the firmware to activate it. At one point I considered buying a new motor from a seller on ebay who had NOS warranty PW-SE units from Giant. Seller wasn't able to say if it had walk assist activated so I passed.

Happens to me now and then, too, and not just with portrait images.

When I see it now, I open the image in my phone's editor, rotate it 90° and then 90° back to the way I want it, make some other change (like a tiny crop) to force the editor to save all edits, then replace the misoriented image in my post with the new version.
