Sad closing to this thread. I hit a pothole on my bike and cracked the rear wheel. After getting a new $300 wheel built and a new heavy duty chain, I found a crack in the frame where the tube goes up to the seat post. A very expensive pothole. A very sad day. This bike checked all of my boxes and Haibike has abandoned America. I am looking around on used bike sites to see if I can buy a similar one and have had no luck. Too many happy owners I guess.
