RX vs RXPro forks

I am thinking about getting an RX and wondering about how good the fork is and the amount of travel. I’m on the light side at 160 pounds and have found that cheap forks are setup for heavier riders and you cannot upgrade the springs in any way. Or are they using a better fork with springs that can be changed out.

I'm 315 lbs, and would rate the RX Pro forks as better than nothing, but certainly not high quality. Wouldn't take much for me to replace them for an air type. Not a real expensive upgrade.

I’m 220 and cranked up the preload about 1/2. Not much adjustability, but I suspect you will be fine. I would not describe them as super stiff but they are a cheap solution and lacking In adjustability.

I weigh 230ish and have 600 miles on my RX. I find the fork to be just fine for my usage. Sure an air-fork might be more plush, but I have no complaints on ride quality with the forks, even when I lock them for road riding.

Speaking of forks, anyone looked at an upgrade to air forks? How would I know which fork would fit my Rize RX aside from wheel size?

If somebody does make the leap of faith for a mod like this, I would hope they would keep us all posted in both what they found was necessary for proper fit, and also ride impressions.

I'm not suggesting the stock forks are junk, only that I know there's better available. What I really don't care for, is that on mine anyway, there's a big bang as the shock tops out/fully extends after compressing. That makes me crazy....

I’ve ridden very little off-road due to winter and will make a decision after a few trips to the trails. Fitment has to do wth the compatibility of the steering head, its taper/lack of taper. Not sure what those answers are on the Rize.
