Rize RX first day

Update: Got a 54T today, this one specifically: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBG7GZKZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1&psc=1

It fits with enough clearance, you really can't go any larger than this. It rides great, and I was able to maintain a good 90rpm cruise in 7th gear, noticeably faster than before. I would always end up spinning out in 7th on flat terrain before.

Why does Rize do this? Well, it looks like this is an OEM set from Prowheel, and the largest you can get for this motor is a 44T. It's also what Biktrix uses. See their catalog for evidence: http://47.88.77.172/main/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/2019-Prowheel-Catalog-WEB.pdf - The NW44T (What this bike came with) is in a kit from Prowheel that includes the spider, sprocket, hub, chain guard, and cranks. There is a discrepancy because they list it as a 4/104 but the NW44T on the bike is definitely a 5/130 BCD.

Oddly I didn't have to change my chain, it's still shifting just fine. I may adjust the derailleur hanger to give it some more slack.

Regarding the use of the 44t in stock form, keep in mind a bike with 4" tires isn't really set up to ride at the speeds you apparently are running, or want to run. That's the beauty of bikes using generic parts. Buy whatever you want, as close to how you want it, then proceed to make it yours with your own touches!

My Pro X has 17.5" x 2.8" tires (Schalbe Super Moto's), a hydraulic frt. shock w/adj rebound, seat suspension that's set up for my weight - and a 49t chain ring that allows the majority of my riding to be done without using (tearing up) that 11t gear.......

I'm running the new Schwalbe Marathon E-Plus in 27.5 x 2.00, they are E-50 certified for 50kph (31mph)

Did you replace your chain when you went to 49T?

1. My bad. I was thinking you were talking RX Pro, which is a fatty.

2. No, I used the stock OEM chain as well.

If you still want some bottom end, you might consider an 9/11-40 cassette and a longer chain.

I did buy a longer chain, I think I can safely go down to 3rd right now. We'll see if I need the lower end on my route, as all I do is commute on the bike. I previously never went under 5th.
