is 285lbs to heavy for effective use of the dual suspension setup on the ICONIC EVO TR 1 750?is there a limit or range?
Thanks

Usually, the weight structural limit (rider + bike + any cargo) for alloy frame e-bikes from good brands is 300 lbs. The 32-spoke wheels look good from that viewpoint.

Hey thanks mate. Bad news for me right now If it's 300 lb total for Bike and me. But that's one of the reasons I'm riding; a combination weight of 300 lbs is a reasonable goal for me.

AI says 330 lbs should still be no issue. What is problematic for heavy riders is a carbon frame or components. That's why I'm the farthest from anything made of CF 😃

I went with the Himiway ebikes with a few choices with 400lbs max limit. At my weight of 300lbs, I also factored in the added weight of Tannus tire liners, rack+bag, accessories, commuter backpack, suspension seatpost, water, tools, winter cloths, etc.. I purchased a full suspension Himiway Cobra Pro with 1000w/160Nm mid-drive + 20Ah battery two years ago. Noticed I mostly ride the Cobra Pro in PAS 1 because of having 2X the tq of my old 750w/80Nm rear hub Radrover. I can better match speed/range with my ebike when riding with my 130lbs wife with her 750w rear hub Radcity with 14Ah battery. I always need PAS 2/3 with occasional throttle on my old rear hub Radrover just to keep up with with the wife's Radcity in PAS 1/2.

I do ride dirt trails and single track with my Cobra Pro and the full suspension does come in handy. You probably don't need full suspension if you are mostly paved roads or improved packed double wide dirt trails type of rider. Going hard tail with a suspension seatpost like Suntour NCX or Kinekt suspension seatpost would get you 95% there on anything above single track.
