Ridecontrol One - Other bluetooth apps?

Hey all,
The Ridecontrol app (Giant) has some room for improvement, I hear it's coming....

In the meantime, are there any other android apps that can show the same info as sent by the Ridecontrol One? (as opposed to what the app tracks itself)
Or is that locked down to the Giant app only?

I'm keen on accessing:

• Range remaining - based on assist level
• Speed (current / top / average)
• Cadence
• Battery Level
• Battery Usage
• Power/effort
• Odometer (total k's / miles)

Apps I've tried:

• IP Bike
• Urban Biker
• Bike Computer

All three do not seem to have ebike specific stuff like battery and range based on the bike output.

You have to use the Giant app to access that information, unfortunately.

I ended up downloading an older version of the app, which fortunately works with the firmware update I had done at my LBS because the app wouldn't do it over my Android phone.

I'm using version 1.4.2 of the Giant app, and you can find and download it here, if you have an Android phone:

I've just tried the 1.4.2, Pat. No good; there is a bug in the Tuning screen. Returned to 1.4.5.

That's too bad, Stefan! Whenever I try to return to 1.4.5, the app insists the bike needs a firmware update (even though that's already been done!) and will not function at all because "update failed".

It's a Catch-22! I'm just glad the older version is working with my La Free, and hoping the new app comes out soon!

What do you use to open the file (How do you install downloader) and how do you get it on your phone? I've had real problems with the new version. I erased the old one by mistake and the new one first wouldn't send info to the cloud so nothing was saved and now it won't upload at all.

I use version 1.4.2

This hasn't worked for everyone, but it has for me.

Remember to turn off automatic updates!
