Removing crank arms on 2019 Giant Fathom

A bike expert by no means, a little confused as to how these come off. I backed off the screw in the left side crank arm (that isn’t hollow) and it loosens then seems to retighten. I assume it’s a sleeve of sorts that slides out in one piece with the chain ring?

Never mind!!! Just wanted to make sure that bolt was supposed to retighten before I cranked on it harder…..thanks

Is it supposed to retighten? It feels like something is going to snap. I have been looking for the proper technique to remove the Praxis crank and your post is the only one addressing the retightening issue. Did you just muscle through it counter-clockwise?
