Rearranging handlebar controls on an Homage with the Rohloff E-14

I took delivery on a new Homage Rohloff HS recently. I found the position of the E-14 control, right next to the grip to be too close for a natural reach for my right thumb while holding the grip. It required me to adjust my hand on the grip slightly and bend my thumb in an unnatural way. Also the order of controls put the rear brake lever further toward the center from the right grip while the front brake lever was right next to the left grip. I reordered the controls resulting in a much more natural position for the shift buttons and eliminating the need to shift my hand on the grip when shifting. I have to reach across the high beam button with is integrated into the the back side of the brake lever mount. I was a bit concerned I would be inadvertently activating the high beams. I am pleased to report that this has not happened once. I don't know if this slight change will work for everyone as it might depend on hand size. I wear a large men's glove. It works perfectly for me.

Nice layout - my R&M Delite E-14 can't touch that! I'm wanting a KIOX for mine, but too many negatives so far. I wish car manufacturers would take a cue from the bike world and design a steering wheel that the individual drive can customize.
