RCR onyx florida question

was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to register the rcr onyx in florida, have my eye and really thinking about buying one. Thank you!

You should be able to title, insure, and register it as a motorcycle, Electrek report the RCR has a VIN number. Probably best check with the DMV or a friendly local motorcycle dealer what hoops you need to jump through.

I have my doubts this can be registered for road use in most states. Most require DOT approved lights, turn signals, speedometer, horn, etc... All these have to be submitted to DOT for approval. Non conforming vehicles like ATV's have VIN, title and registration, but are ORV, off road only.

Check with the Florida DMV and ask the manufacturer if they offer a DOT compliance package. There are a lot of mopeds and scooters on the market you won't have any problems registering.

I am thinking of purchasing an Onyx and surprised that this brand is not represented on this forum. Maybe there is another eBike forum where a person can go to check out how customers are fairing with this brand.
