Radrover Diet Plan

Hello, I’m a newb here and have been riding my new 2019 RR through our avalance snows up here in the high rockies. The weight was actually helpful for navigating the snowy backroads but now it’s back to hard dirt/pavement. After experiencing the uphill chug with a dead battery, I decided to do some mods seen here and elsewhere for some weight loss and better handling. So far, I’ve dropped 8lbs (almost the weight of the battery) doing the following:

Fork Surly Ice Cream Truck fork (found one on eBay)
Tires Kenda Juggernaught pro tires (120 TPI) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KAAO27Q/
Pedals chester raceface pedals https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018J1J7QE/

Now I’m stumped on the next possible upgrades:

Handlebars No idea about this one - the stock ones seem weighty and could be a tad higher (I like the look of straight handlebars)
Cranks These look heavy to me - no specs on weight
Cassette We used to listen to these, but now it seems to be a bike component as well!
Suspension post seems helpful. so far, I’ve only seen the sun tour one, but no idea how about the weight
Rims I read the Surly ‘my other brother darryl’ rims are much lighter (but run about $150 each)

Lights
This 600lm is highly rated and about 4oz like the stock 60lm light. Comes with rad looking tailight: https://www.amazon.com/Cygolite-600-Hotrod-50-Bicycle/dp/B01IO12V6C/

8 lbs! That is a lot of weight. Are those Kenda tires not identical to the standard Rad tires? The Rad fork must weigh a lot!

the new tires are half the weight of stock rads tires. Yes, the stock fork is super heavy. Overall, they engineered the RR to handle the weight, so you really never feel it until the battery dies. The weight has to be the only negative aspect of this bike. Super happy with the 'electric' side of things and stay around level 3 power-wise

I am a newly and am waiting for my first Mini to arrive. But it surprises me that the stock tires are so much heavier given that some have complained that they are relatively flimsy and flat prone.

I did the Surly Ice Cream Truck fork modification and shaved off about 5 pounds.

I bought the fork after seeing CodyDogs mod. Keep in mind the fork is hard to find now. I bought one on eBay from a UK company.

Next is finding a suitable handlebar/crank upgrade for a nice weight drop. No idea on what specs to look for.
