Hello, I have a 2018 Rad Rover and I recently saw a thread where people put the Maxxis Minion 26 x 2.5" on the Rover so I ordered a pair of WTB Ranger 26 x 2.8 comp tires thinking I could put them on the bike but when I attempted it the tires were way too thin for the super wide fatbike wheel. *I had specialized 26x2.4/3.0 tubes so they should have been large enough if I understand it correctly, the tire seemed to be the problem.
I was wondering if anyone knew what I did wrong? How might I be able to put a tire similar to the minion 26x 2.5 that I saw online but maybe in a 2.8 size? That would be ideal but if no one knows the answer I'd be grateful just to have the exact tire link for the Maxxis Minion 2.5 that will work with my wheel. Not sure what the difference was and why it didn't work for me but your input would be greatly appreciated.
I'd like to keep the mountain bike tread but have a lower profile tire that doesn't attract all the attention. Thanks in advance for your help.
