Well it's tomorrow and despite soreness and stiffness, I'm having one of those 2 or 3 day delays on the pain. No riding today. My quads have put me on notice the pain is in the mail. I forgot to mention what I think is important for anyone looking at this model to know. I live in a very hilly area and here is the final analysis: If you use the higher assists, you will get a range of maybe 15 to 20 miles tops. When I went to Lake Michigan yesterday, 95% of the time I was using pedal assist mode 1 or 2 and only using higher assists when necessary on the tall hills. I made it home after a 35 mile trip with 1 bar left on the battery. If you are fortunate enough to live in a more level area, you might expect to double my range in the lower assist modes. I have found the top assist levels just aren't necessary on level straits or slight to moderate inclines. This is a 7 speed bike, but I ride it in top gear only; the only time I will ever shift to a lower gear is if my battery runs out. I experimented with shifting into the lower gears, on declines and down hill hoping there would be less drag from the hub, nope. Going down long steep hills I just turn the bike off and enjoy the ride and then power back on when I hit the straits. I am as yet, very pleased with this ebike.
