PowerTube Battery Cover Falling off

I've got a 2018 Haibike SDURO Trekking 9.0. I have a problem where the batter cover can come loose from the top, and in some cases fall off the downtube when riding a bit rough. Has anyone else had this problem? The cover doesn't look deformed or damaged in any way.

I was considering buying a neoprene sleeve to keep it secure. I know these are designed to keep the battery warm during the winter - is it safe to use one year round. Does anyone have a different solution?

I only have about 250 mi on mine, but the latch is so tight I have to fight to get the cover off.

Is the latch popping open while you ride or do you think it's not latching to begin with?

I pretty sure it's latching. When I ride over rough terrain, the top clip can come loose and the cover can pop off the top peg. It doesn't happen every time, and most times the case is still connected on the bottom; it's just popped off the top. In bad cases the whole cover can drop off.
