Considering buying a Vado 4.0. Love how it rides. I would prefer a stem that would allow a somewhat more upright position. ( Como was too upright) . Vado has a teardrop-ish shape where the stem attaches. Has anyone changed one out and to what? Thanks

The Vado uses a conventional threadless headset with the customized stem. @Stefan Mikes has reported good results changing the stem and even adding an extension to the head tube.

There is a important remark to be made: Vado has pretty tight cable slack. Provided spacers allow installing the stem at different height within the extender limits. One should raise the stem to only such height there is still remaining cable slack. The adapter shown here is of proper height; taller extenders would be too tall.
