Thanks to all who are reporting problems with PAS functionality.
I am also new to eBikes and do not have the electronic expertise that those of a younger generation may have (age 86), but I do want to try to improve the situation with PAS 1. Thanks for any input.

PAS 1 is slow on purpose so that you can ride the same speed as the grand kids on their tricycles. Cruise speed is PAS 2 for maximum range, PAS 3 is to keep up with the regular bikes, PAS 4 is to pass the regular bikes and PAS 5 is to pass the road bikes with the lycra bike shorts & jersey wearing cyclists.

Thanks Jrocket, but 1-2mph is too slow even for this age group. And in this case, it's greatgrandkids.

are you pedaling while on PAS 1? pedaling i can go nearly 10mph in PAS1. CUR reads 0.0-1.0 in the display.

Yep, too slow. What do you get on PAS 2, 3, 4?
On 2, 10-11. I don't use 3 o4 very often so no good answer.
On the flat, on 1 , I can get 6-7 with very vigorous pedaling.

Yes, pedaling vigorously and on the flat can get 6-7. I am getting practically no assist on hill climbing.

You'll need to contact Lectric for a replacement controller. If you get inexperienced customer support, they might try a cadence sensor but it would cause an issue in all levels so a new controller should fix it.

Thank you. That's my next step.
