Offset Saddle Adapter

I've definitely seen Amazon listings with review pictures with that spring broken.

I'll keep that in mind.
That could be disastrous depending on where and when it were to happen.

I wonder how much difference it makes using the spring as a seat setback adapter like what @6zfshdb is doing?

He's not really using it as a spring, but I don't know if that would make any difference?

I've got an old seat that I could chop the seat rails from to make extensions from proper seat rails.
I'd just need to use the seat rail clamp.

With mine probably being a knock-off copy of a knock-off, it could be made from Swiss Cheese? 😁

On that note think I'll just cut mine and use it to move the seat back. Don't need the bouncy bouncy anyway. Actually don't need to cut it. Perfect the first time:)

The pictures I've seen show the break at or near the bend where it flexes the most. Odds are far less likely a break will occur using a short straight piece of it.
As I said earlier, I weigh 250 and have had no issues with mine in +/- 1K miles.

At my weight, I wouldn't trust using it as a spring.
