new to the forum, need help buying a juicedBike City Scramber or addmotor M60

Hello Fellow Electric Bikers,

I am new to this forum and hopefully will strike a chord with the group here. I am a bay area guy who will probably use the electric bike on a daily for atleast 20 miles a day or more .. for work and other stuff.

I am really interested in two company electric bikes right now, addmotor M-60 R7 (750W) bike and cityscramber red, 750W. The price point is almost the same around 1700/1800 dollars. Both of them have the delivery around the same time with addmotor delivery around mid october and cityscramber around november.

I am 6'1 and 190 pounds ... I was wondering which one suits me better ????

Hoping to get an answer and make s purchase soon ...

Thanks

Because of your height and the fact that both of these bikes have small wheels and a non-adjustable seat, pedaling either is going to suck. So I imagine you will be relying on the motor and battery quite a lot. Given that, I would choose the Juiced for its bigger battery, which will be more likely to give you the range you desire.

Both these bikes are not designed to be efficient peddle bikes. Although kind of a cool factor, they wouldnt be my first choice for riding on the street. If you plan to use a lot of throttle, these bikes will be much easier to ride. Which ever has the longer peddle extension will be best for a guy who's 6'1".

Thank you, i am planning to rely mostly on the throttle and the battery ...

The Scramblers look like great fun to me. If I had room at the house or in my budget for one, I'd jump all over it. For riding on the dirt and gravel roads of the nearby Croatan Natl. Forest, it would be hard to beat.

For commuting, I lean more towards the Crosscurrent X or S, I guess because that's what they were designed for. The CCX has specs much in line with the Scrambler, but would make pedaling a lot easier. Why does that matter to me? First, because it extends the battery. Second, you can go faster with pedal assist than with throttle alone; this important to a lot of commuters. Third, it's great to get some exercise doing something I love.

I have the CrossCurrent S and love it, but I'd get the CCX if I was buying today, mainly due to the larger battery and 52 V system. The somewhat higher wattage on the motor is not that big a deal for me personally. Price wise, the CCS is more in line with the Scrambler.

If your riding in the bay area includes a lot of San Francisco hills, you will likely be disappointed with throttle only use on a scooter like that. Better buy a second battery right away. Didn't look them up, do either have hydraulic brakes? That would a consideration going down those same hills!
