Hi All,
Just joined this Forum. I'm building a semi-recumbent tandem to improve on one I made 20 years ago (see photo). The plan is to use a Shimano STEPS 8000 set-up if possible so hoping to find advice from others who have used this in less conventional ways.
My first question is has anyone fitted two chainwheels to the drive side of the STEPS motor and how? The extra chainring will connect to the front person's pedals (the drive unit will be at the rear of the tandem). I don't yet have the drive unit to play with and space looks limited... Fitting a chainwheel on the left side looks less possible, but if anyone has done that it would be great to hear too.
Cheers
Ben
