How many miles (or kms) do you need to go throttle only?

We’re all wasting time until OP answers this ‘simple’ question, IMO.
Throttle-only eats battery juice quickly. On my BBHSD I could go near full power for ~15 miles (pedaling still), or could go ride low PAS up-geared so I’m adding real human power on pas 2-3 of 9 for 20 miles and have 75% battery remaining - huge difference. On my X2 M600, I did a 30 miles (this one was very flat) ride at PAS 1/2 of 9, and still had 80% battery. I might make 10-15 miles before empty throttle only at max power.

So OP - more info is needed for people to make useful recommendations. (although I think @Timpo ’s recommendation on a dual-battery bike, even a small fat tire, could be a good answer..)

66" tall will fit normal sized bikes. You would fit the blix & biktrix dual battery bikes. 24" wheels would be a lot more comfortable through a pothole than 20" wheels of a Radmini. A bike with suspension would be even better.
The electric bike company model x goes up to 28 mph has a throttle and can be bought with a 30 AH battery. Buy the 7 speed option so you don't have to pedal 2 rps to reach that speed. They claim up to 160 miles range with the big battery, although that is probably at 6 mph. https://electricbikecompany.com/model-x/
Model R has a suspension and can be bought with the 30 AH battery. https://electricbikecompany.com/model-r-2/
Again 7 speed sprockets are optional at extra cost. As is the basket to hold the battery.
Thank you

The OP has $5000 budget, I really think we can build a decent long range ebike for that kind of budget.
But yeah, more info needed.

Some 20 inch ebikes are quite high speed.
Super 73, Aerial Rider, Juiced HyperScrambler, etc.. they're all 20 inch.
And let's face it, these ebikes are mainly meant to go throttle only.
Thank you

What kind of bike are you looking for?

Fat bike? Mini fat bike? MTB? Cruiser?

Do you have any particular style you like?
I don’t have a drivers license so I need something to get around sometimes have to travel far
So really just looking for an ebike that gets the most miles with very little pedaling
Thank you

Some states don't require a license for a moped. If your state doesn't require one to operate a moped get a Genuine Buddy 50cc or a Genuine Rough House. Or a Honda Metro or Ruckus. Great gas mileage and plenty of power for kicking around surface streets, and within your budget. Wait, never mind, I saw your OTHER same post saying you lost your license. So..... Apollo Phantom V3. One and done.

How far do you think your typical travel distance will be?

If you want something with little pedaling, I think Aerial Grizzly, Juiced Hyperscrambler, Rize Blade 2, Super 73, etc.. will suffice your requirement.
As those bikes are pretty much intended mainly for throttle use.
But I'm just wondering about the distance.
This is critical information!!!!!
Hate to see you not only loose your license, but also be down the price of a bike that won't do what you are needing/expecting....

The desire for range (distance), using almost total throttle with little pedaling is the whole issue here. OP said he wanted range, using throttle only, 90% of the time. What kind of average range, in miles, is needed/expected? That's the missing piece of information, IMO.

I'd add speed to the discussion, since speed impacts range dramatically. Hills are worse, and going up hills fast...
OP said 28 mph? At full speed, a battery will deplete quickly, unless the OP has a strong tailwind...

can you be a little more specific?
it all depends.

motorcycles are throttle only, and you're looking for a best mileage as possible?
so you don't care about anything else, but just the best mileage?
Thank you for responding I don’t have a drivers license so the most important thing to me is mileage without peddling lol

Believe it or not, this is super common.

Many people want to use throttle 90% of the time, this is why throttle only intended ebikes are booming.
I just wanted to know about the range, I know more the better, but how much?

This is why I suggested RadMini, because it can carry 3 batteries, and make it 52V 63Ah+ (3,275+Ah).
But OP may not need that much.

If it's 48V, Luna sells 48V 24ah triangle battery, Jenny sells 48V 24.5Ah for Reention DP9, and rear rack can be whatever, let's say 48V 31.5Ah with using a 117pcs battery case like below, and you can have a 48V 80Ah battery.
Thank you

@Amari5522, Straight up, Do you want another ticket? Bikes with handlebar throttles are Class 2. By law Class 2 bikes in the US are limited to 20Mph. If they go any faster than that they are legally unlawful motorcycles. Unlawful motorcycles are not allowed on streets, bike lanes, or paths. You might be able to get away with it until an accident like hitting someone's dog while they are listening to their earbuds and while looking down at their phone. That is why is it accidental. If they walk into you and you have an unlawful motorcycle, you are at fault and will talk to the judge and jury. Or a cop can clock you while you are not even pretending to pedal. All that said, what you want is simple to find. Get a decent bike with good tires and brakes that is sturdy and fits well. Have someone handy and local or DYI a Bafang 750W BBS02 with a second battery. @mikeschn is correct about 'ghost pedaling'. These motors are at the legal limit for power. One watt more and they are motorcycles. Ghost pedaling is simply pretending to move the pedals slowly without applying any work and you go very fast. It is legal and if you do not have a throttle on the handlebar you can do 25-28 Mph depending on a number of factors. This is where what you are asking for intersects with what is possible. This can be achieved with premium batteries for much less than $5k. Here is what one can look like: 1) Solid Bike, Good Brakes, 2) BBS02 Motor, 3) Second Premium Battery. Oh and here is the dog you might hit.

My suggestion would be buying a good, $4000.00 Class 2 bike and apply the other $1000.00 to an extra battery that you can carry on a rack when you need additional range.

I agree. Even a $3,500 class 2 bike with a spare battery would work. But put the spare in the bottom of a pannier at axle height for a lower center of gravity for handling. Maneuvering in Manhattan traffic can be tricky.

In Manhattan? He will be grocery shopping and needs panniers. 20x4 nobbies are not for pavement. And it is an illegal moped, punishable.

Wow, that's a lot of battery power!!!

Here's another possible battery arrangement!

Having the batteries attached to the bike isn't the only option. One could also have spare battery or 2 in panniers for long journeys and only one battery in use at a time, just switch them out as they get low. For going to a local store, panniers could be empty. There are probably other arrangements like 2 x 48v 15ah batteries built in. I'd only be looking at bikes with tires between 2.1-2.5 in for city riding. You could have 4 batteries and a full set of panniers.

Not a bike, but live and let live.
