I just came across this new heavyweight ebike this afternoon that's built by Greyp in Croatia:

Apparently it can travel up to 240km on a single charge!

Here's the link to the quick post I wrote about the bike: http://overvolted.com/the-greyp-g12h/

What does everyone think?

To me, it seems like the bike offers great specs, but it weighs too much and is too much of a throttle bike (moped or motorcycle-like) for my taste. I'm more into the torque-sensing pedal assist S-pedelecs than these heavyweight, souped-up racing/light-motocross bikes.

What really impresses me about this company is their Electric Super Car which they designed and built all in their facility in Croatia. The company is called Rimac

Here is a video of the founder telling his story. It's quite inspiring.

With their Sensor for fingerprint , Gps tech., powerful 12kw motor , a big 3kw pack, if they were to add a PAS system i think this bike would eliminate Stromers easily from the competition.
The way it is now for the G12S model is still cheaper then the ST5 , and goes a LOT faster , looks are 10x better , and much better made.

How can you tell it is better made? More features more fail points? How is the support? I am not sure local shops would evn touch it. This looks like a motorcycle more than bike to me, at best compare to Optibike? I couldn't ride it where I ride currently, attention grabber, not sure you are comparing apples to apples

This people from Greyp are making everything custom made, best components. Read about them a little bit. They made the fastest all custom e car - Rimac. The founder is a genius like E. Musk. I’m sure the people who own this e bikes are v. Happy with them. Not sure if it’s any of them in the Us though, and yea a bike shop would unlikley sell this.
The support is all through the site/email.
I also agree that it is an attention grabber, but so is the Stromer or a high end Bulls.
If they put PAS on the Greyp it i’ll get it and never have to worry about battery range, and other issues. Touch it and it unlocks, touch it and it goes faster or slower.
That is true inovation not this 500wh packs/ 350w motors that most e bike companies are putting on the bikes !
