New knobby tires are noisy

I'm riding on Kenda 27.5" slant tires. They're noisy and feel they just slow me down when riding on pavement. I feel these are not suited for my needs.
A smoother tread is what I'm looking for, puncture resistant with good grip in the rain.
There has to be so many better options out there.
Which model is best to suit my needs.
