I feel the same about a more upright position. So this Friday I expect delivery of a Deity Highrise 760 handlebar -- it has an 80 mm rise (a little over 3") and is 760 mm wide (approx. 4" wider than the stock bar). The middle diameter is 31.8 mm, pretty much the same as the stock bar, so the stem clamp won't be an issue. I'm not certain that the bar won't exceed the bike's cable slack at full width, but I can easily cut the bar shorter if needed. The main change I'm looking for is more height. I'll let you know how it works out for me.

Any word on your Deity Highrise 760 handlebars yet??

Another solution to raising the handlebars is this adjustable stem that has the same diameter(31.8mm) attachment as the stock Aurora stem. On Ebay from Taiwan. Just got it and it is well made and rock solid.

I tried three different Kinekt springs. I like the Thudbuster much better. The Kinekt bottomed on potholes. The Thudbuster never does.

Sounds like your choice is working out well for you, glad to hear it. BTW, I found the highrise handle bar really didn’t give me much height after all, so I brought it to best bike shop in the area and added a stem extender also — worked out great. Overall, I’m pretty happy with the bike. In my hilly town, I get about 25 to 30 miles on a full charge, which is fine by me.

It's got some great new features that I simply cannot find anywhere else. Only 120 will be built this year -- 65 White ones, and 55 Black (I believe). 750-Watt Dapu Motor (1000-Watt Peak). Automatic Transmission (also can set it to Manual). Gates Carbon Belt Drive. Wahoo!! Ordered mine today.

Here's another thing to keep in mind with the Aurora vs. Gates vs. Enviolo -- that combination requires a heavy-duty stiff frame to resist the torque created. I think they've done a fine job!

But you must select either 90mm or 110mm. I'm not sure what fits the Aurora.

The Aurora's all come with a high angle stem already, and since it's one piece it's likely to be stronger. See this assembly video:

I'd want to be sure the easy adjustment locks down firmly, though.

90mm or 110mm are the length and both will work. I did the stem extender and the 90mm on my wife's Aurora and she is pleased with the riding position. Upright and comfortable, she's 5'9"

Just to be clear, the stem extender doesn't require a new handlebar - it actually uses the same stem, and simply raises it up higher. If the stock reach (horizontal distance) is OK, this might be a better/easier solution. If you want to adjust the reach as well, then an adjustable stem would be better.

You are correct that the adjustable stem I linked is not right for the Aurora. Sorry about that. In terms of "heavy duty screws" I would point out that on all these extenders and stems the screws go into tapped aluminum. They should be carefully torqued to the manufacturer's specifications - too tight and you can easily strip the aluminum.

I am getting excited for this new Ltd. Edition, now that I finally made the decision. I think they are down to less than 30 from the 120 available. If you do not need it soon, then waiting until 2020 might bring a few improvements, and maybe a better price. One thing I am having to fight against is pre-ordering all these excellent suggested add-ons! I must wait until I've used the bike a bit before changing its configuration.

Here's another tidbit from email discussions with Evelo, but I have no way to confirm this:
"Tires are made by Innova specifically for us. There is no model affiliated with it and isnt available anywhere else."

The website lists them as CST. But I have spotted 3 or 4 typos from the beginning (2" tires vs. 3", for example) - and they've corrected those. Alex at Envelo also said their tires are designed to resist punctures without the need for inside liners.

And one more item, just for grins:
"The locking axle nuts will work for the rear wheel, but the front requires a locking thru axle. The axle on the front fork requires a 5mm allen wrench to install, but is not a locking type. Pinhead sells locking thru-axles on their website, we do not currently stock or sell those."

Query for aurora owners. Do you find that the maximum pedaling cadence with automatic is much slower than in manual? I can only get the cadence to a max of 42 revs/minute on automatic, but no limit on manual.

Yes to some extent, but by selecting easier mode on your dial in the auto mode you should be able to get higher than 42 rpm

It turns out my Harmony interface was defective. Evelo sent a new one and now it works fine. Customer service was excellent.
