Wooden beer caddies? Here in middle America we use cardboard to carry our beer.

Yes, but these will have a bottle opener on the side and are way cooler to bring to a party or gift with some good craft beers to a friend.

That is why I am going to leave the dividers as a loose fit (No glue or fasteners). My wife wants to use it as a plate and utensils caddy to bring stuff out to the pool if we ever have company again.

Mustard, ketchup, salt, pepper, etc. as well. Much better than letting the wood just warp.

Back at it just finished a laundry table for my wife. However today it is going to be almost 50 F. No more breathing saw dust. I am hitting the road

Back to building. Made cart for Planer and old router table Rained a big part of the day couldn’t ride.

I honestly think I would not have made it thru the last 12 mos. without my bike. It has been
my singular toe hold on sanity. I´ve spent the last week turning my disreputable old van into
a mobile hotel room,(well better than it was). I´ve set up the bike´s trailer as a surf fishing buggy.
I´m headin´ out to the most remote beaches in the lower 48, & I don´t care if I don´t catch a thing.

Here is one for Art’s gardening wife. Modified my beer caddy design into a garden tote. Made a jig to router out a hole for a stronger handle. I took 3 tries to come up with my final jig but it was a great learning experience.

I've been working on finishing the family room for the last few years. It was almost complete except for the ceiling since I couldn't decide on what to do. I wanted to use some sort of drop ceiling to allow access to the upstairs plumbing & electrical but I couldn't find anything that appealed to me. Covid gave me the push I needed to finally finish the project. I found these drop ceiling tiles on line which really gave me the style I was looking for.

Those look great ... far better than the standard issue acoustic panels used in commercial buildings.

No the second shot is of a failed jig for a handle, second on is workable but ugly. Third is a final functional jig for handles. My wife added liners and turned them into planters

Any one out there still making stuff and doing projects? My last one was a necessity. Turns out a 6’ 14 year has out grown his bunk bed. So I built him a loft bed.

Same basic design as the king size i built 30 yrs.ago, except mine is just 30¨ from the floor. Cool setup.
I should redo my office. I´m hesitant to ask about the choice of sculpture.

Fun thread. My COVID projects include a hydroponic garden, a new dining table for the RV, and I took up baking again. I used to be a professional baker, around the late '70s and early '80s. Doing it for fun is, well, more fun. Haven't bought bread in over a year. Oh, and learning a new instrument. In fact, all sorts of things EXCEPT riding my e-bike, which I do NOT have yet. Paid for it 8 months ago.

I've had fun in the woodshop here in the village, open to residents. Then it was closed due to COVID, so I built a home woodworking bench. The thing weighs 200 pounds, but I can hand plane on it without chasing it all over the room. Love working with hand wood tools; I minimize the use of power tools.

Having more or less lost my hearing to career use of power tools, I use hand tools almost exclusively.
It´s more rewarding & less stressful. That´ś some beautiful work you´ve done.

The table is beautifully done. Is it cherry? I have also been woodworking (finished painting my carved pub sign) and baking bread during the pandemic. Both rewarding exercises! But I didn’t build my own bench… just added twin screw end vice, Tucker vice, rear tray and shelf under.

Yes, it's cherry. I found some with nice grain. The finish is an old classic, Waterlox.

Latitude, nice bench. I'm building a Moravian bench (you can look it up). I am making the leg vise primarily with oak, with a hard top made with maple, oak and purple heart. The screw for the vise is wooden, from Lake Erie Toolworks, and I am installing a tail vise from HNT Gordon. I'm at the finishing stage now. Just taking a break after drilling holes for the bench dogs and holdfasts.
