Hello all. I am new here, from Minnesota, a 65-year-old who's attempting to assemble a Franken bike out of used parts on eBay in an attempt to see if I can make something functional. and if I can I may improve it or assemble another for an attempted cross-country ride next summer.
All used parts
Older Specialized Crossroads frame.
Old Suntour fork with rim brake mounts. Steerer tube was way short. 700c.
Bew Bafang BBSO2 with 52V, 20 amphr battery.
Old shimano 7 speed rear.
I hope to have the creation rolling in the next week for a 200 mi/several day tour next month.
Anyway--that's why I'm here and hoping to learn some things this winter.
