Nice.. glad you're enjoying it. I've been using my friends ZX while I wait for my NewGen, lots of fun. Hate the lack of suspension though, always have a sore ass when I get home. My NewGen is with DHL as we speak. I actually called up Fully Charged the day you posted here about your ZX and they said they were fully sold out until late October so I stuck with NewGen

I’ve not heard anything from NewGen, though a guy on Insta, said he received an email from them saying it will be with him by the end of the week, I asked when he bought/ordered.. turns out it was a day before me, in mid July…who knows..!

Who's your guy on Insta if you don't mind me asking? I ordered mine end of May so according to their schedule I should not be receiving mine at the same time as someone who ordered mid July.

I've had a terrible time. I ordered a Knaap, it came and it was damaged in delivery and the company I bought it from are being uber stubborn about giving refunds. I'm thinking of saying sod it all and going for a Cube.

Uni moke is getting great reviews, an English on YT raves about his.. 10,000 miles out of it too, I like the Uni Bobber too, sorry to hear your issues.

Been following this thread for a while now after countless delays and fairly poor communication from the newgen team i was loosing hope

a little anoyed that i had to constantly pester and chase my order wuthout any update until promted via call or email, most of my updates were found via this thread before the “team” contacted me

anyway finally good news …..My newgen gets delivered tomorrow i have tracking info from DHL!( I ordered ordered late may)

il update tomorrow ! May even do a youtube video to help potential future buyers

Yes EU regulations

Just curious about the EU regulations , here in America we typically don’t/won’t pay attention to laws like this (speaking for myself) and will buy what works. So I’m curious , are you stuck with only being able to purchase a 250w bike or can you pick up a 750w bike and just ride it like a civilized person? I own a 750w 48v bike and it’s almost not enough for me anymore, it just seems so ridiculous the strict laws you guys face.

Anyhow- no disrespect just curious.…

We can get both, 250w only one that is street legal, I guess concerns are bikes could be taken from you, accident/insurance concerns.. these could impact a job..smaller roads too..and I guess just personal choice. I did order the 750w but downgraded.

Cheers man, battery fully charged, can’t wait to get out on it tomorrow. The fenders are being re-developed by NewGen but until then there are holes in place to fit some from Amazon or something. I’m going to buy a set tomorrow and I’ll let you know how it goes.

Some more pics, managed to get out today for an hour or so. Bike looks amazing.. Great fun to ride, everything works as expected except for the throttle. The bike is restricted to 15.6mph, the motor cuts out when it hits that speed.. the throttle is supposed to prevent the motor cutting out and allow the bike to reach max speed but even with the throttle the motor is still cutting out at 15.6mph. I’ve called NewGen and they’ve said that they will get back to me Monday with the solution.
The display has an ‘extras’ menu that requires a password to access. I asked Maria at NewGen and she said that’s for them to restrict the bike and they legally can’t give the code out but I’ll figure something out online and maybe try resetting it to de-restrict it.

About the fenders.. I also asked NewGen and they came back with this:

“The Topeak Defendee XC1 fenders have been suggested by the team.

We should hopefully get hold of our fenders in the next 4-6 weeks also for information.”
