Hello, Please help! Stuck, need help hacking controller and or 750c blu display. Have 1,000w Bafang geared rear hub kits, installed everything, everything works except for PAS. I noticed the manufacture sent me only left small pas and did not include the larger right chainring side pas which I normally always use. PAS is not working, I switched out controller three difference small PAS and then seller says small pas won't work, only large pas, I only have one I installed it, still not working, Brake level shut off works, throttle works, front light works, battery works, everything is working except for the PAS. When I go to into the 750c blu display go to advanced setting using 1919 password, I can change pas number, but not magnets or really anything else. Erorr section is all dot dot for - - - - whatever that means. I am told that I need to change the magnets setting, Is there a way to hack these controllers and display? HELP Customer waiting!!! STUCK!!!

You're aware that the PAS sensor is polarity sensitive, right? They don't want that motor to power up if you're pedaling backwards. So my thought is regarding the wheel with the magnets in it. It's going to work only if it's installed correctly, as in if it's flipped side for side, the polarity reverses. You might want to try that.

Mr Hicks, thank you so much for your reply. I think if I am following your saying that the direction of the magnet 🧲 needs to be correct, it has arrows on it and I have it installed on the right chainring side. As far as I can tell, all large magnets are always installed on the right chainring side. The small sensors would be on the left side peddle opposite chainring. For the sake of trying everything I even tried the small magnets on both chainring right side snd tried it on the left side nothing seems fo work. I shave I started quite a few kits and never come across this before. The red light does not come on at alll. Changed controller, hall cable, 3 different pas small trued on both sides. When I got I touch with seller he said small magnets not capable with my bike but he never sent the large one. I had to take one from another kit. The only kit is 500w but the pass are the same I believe. I think his has 12 magnets. If the magnet setting was off in controller would light. Come on or no. ??

Light should come on regardless, as soon as the power comes on. It does not have anything to do with a polarity issue.

Note that even with the arrow pointing in the right direction that the sensor will read/see opposite polarities/sides of the disk depending on which side the sensor is installed on (left side vs. right).

About the only other thing it could be is a setup function generally accessed through the display. PAS may need to be enabled, and many will allow the crank direction to be changed, avoiding the need to move it from one to the other. The KT controllers can be particularly confusing as they do this with several different settings available for how many magnets are in use. Confusing as the lower 1-5 settings (?) are for one direction, and the higher (6-10?) are used for the opposite rotation. The higher the magnet count you use, the more sensitivity the PAS sensor has. Point being, you may have to do some messing around in the controller parameters....

Best of luck!

Man thank you for this. So now I know I should be seeing the red light either way. I’m not so the only thing left to try is put this large magnet on the other side. If that doesn’t do it, I agree messing with the controller would be great. Any idea how to do that? I have a 750c display and advanced setting 1919 does allow me to do anything. Can I hook it up to a computer? Any advise here? Thanks again

Maybe somebody else that's using the Bluetooth 750c can jump in here. I have the conventional 750C (love it), but it's been too long since I've messed with it's parameters. I'd hate to befuddle you even further with wrong or misleading ideas.....

I understand you have been of great help thank you. I have had both the 750c and Blu and they are exactly the same except wit Blu you can download the app ibike and Nab will display on right side of screen but as far as setting should be safe it’s just that 1919 does do it.
