Name your ebike company...

I'm new here so please forgive me if this has been talked about already but I'm sure some of you have thought about starting your own ebike company. Not a shop, but a brand.

I like names that tell you what type of bike they are: Juiced

Or something obvious: Electric Bike Company.

But would you name it after yourself like Sondors?

Or would you do something catchy? iGo, Lectric, Ride1Up, RadPower.

Since I want to be the champion of $1k ebikes, should I call it Cheap-E-bikes? Grand Bikes? Unicorn Bikes? Bikes That Should Not Be Talked About?

Or I can go the high-end route... E-xorbitant, iPlatinum, Yeezy :)

What would you name your brand?

28 pounds, 1500 w mid drive, 52v 40ah battery, 200 mile range

Unobtainium

(Need I add the sarcasm tag?)

Hah... Avatar fan?

I just realized that this could also be the name of your EV car company.

I really like the Tesla name, and Nikola is trying to bite it.

How about "Edison"? Or "Franklin"?

Or maybe just electrical terms? I think there is a Volt bike company already. Watt Wagons is a good name.

Maybe "Current"? Or "Charge"?

I’d tell you but then I’d have to charge you my standard marketing/branding consultant fee!🤓

For an all-terrain go anywhere e-bike I'd like to see one called a "Goliaphant" or a "Roughalo".

Unless you know something I do not (and I fervently hope you do), I'd say that going after the low end of the bicycle market (e-bikes or not) is a good way to burn up a lot of money.

Disclaimer: I'm not creating an ebike company.

Just something that popped into my head doing all these research on ebikes... had no idea so many companies existed.

But if I were... I would see if the low end is viable... the people's ebike!!

Edit: typos

VB the People's Bike ;)

The master of the entry-level ebike HAS to be RadPower. IMO they have done the best job of getting the masses into ebikes. I have a lot of respect for them, and I've ridden their bikes, and they are really done well. Check 'em out. No affiliation, just a fan. 👍

When I looked deeper I found the big-3 and that's what I see as state of the art. Yeah, there are some low end bikes in that sector too, but there's a lot of room for technology that you find in the mountain bike realm. You start to really see just who is who, and who are the masters at the technology.

Most people get interested in a bike that costs two to three times the cost of a regular bike, then find out if they spend as much as a car, you can get the most whiz-bang bikes in the biz.

Good luck! 🤣

Hilltopper Ebikes, Galvanic cycles or Pavement Eater Bike. 3 different names foe a company going in different nuanced directions.
