My Teo out and about in Mississauga.....

Sadly not all my accessories i ordered have shown up, going for a ride and liked to take some water with me however no bottle holder, pondered at it for a few minutes had few puffs of my favorite vape and came up with this idea. Now first thing to do is slip the bottle`s top in than take the tennis ball put it under the bottle and roll the contraption into place between the seat tube and back fender, to take it out reverse the procedure. Went for a 20 km ride and had no problem.

Well that is mighty ingenious @AguassissiM !! We have the same bottle, is your frame medium or large? Did you get to try the new light at night? very curious to find out what other accessories you got yourself too!
Thank you sir @america94
The bottle i picked up at MEC, my Teo is medium and it is a tight fit for the contraption it may be a perfect fit on the large, Benoit recommended the medium . As for the light i absolutely love it too bad amazon run out of stock i was considering to get another one for the helmet. All the other accessories i have mentioned in the second post of this tread, sorry for the confusion.

...... Can you enlighten me a little regarding moving the seatpost to improve the suspension though? Mine tends to either work great, with plenty of bounce, or feel like it is stuck without any give whatsoever.
This was one of those things that just happened on the fly when i installed the new saddle, you see i`ve heard that to get proper seat adjustment for how far back or how close forward you move it on the seat post rail is to measure it with your arm, put your elbow against the nose of the seat and adjust the seat until the longest finger (mine is the bird finger) touches the handle bar post, well since the new seat i purchased is shorter than the original one i had no choice but to turn the seat post by 180* so that the adjustment bolt faces forward now instead of backward. When i went for a test run i discovered that the telescopic action of the seat post has improved. You do realize that inside the seat post tube there is an adjustment bolt, unscrewing it will give you more bounce and titenig it will make it stiffer less bounce, basically compresses the spring inside. Hope all this mumble-jumbo makes sense.
1 seat size difference (she did not say a word)
2 adjusting bolt facing front of bike now, look behind the tube you can see the back rack
3 my graphic ability using paint:rolleyes:

Sorry to hear that was a complete waste of your time @america94 , perhaps it works better for me since i replaced the original saddle and i`m a short and chubby fella? Have you tried adjusting the bolt inside the seat post?
Just came back from MEC with more goodies, got this chain lock and this cable to help with security. Also got a new pair of KEEN shoes, now just waiting for the rain to stop so i can test them out. Now my shopping list is complete, o wait still got to get a bike stand , darn it.....so close.

That chain is a monster, right? got the same at Mec as well. Best ratio quality/price in my opinion for Canada.

I like that store, good stuff and decent prices for several items. You often have a better selection online for home delivery though.

Tip to save on shipping costs: if you want to buy something online that is not in your local store that would require shipping costs, drop by the store and have them order it for you = free shipping :)

How do you like the seat? looks very comfy, like a lazy-boy for bikes

Edit: i have been fiddling around with the bolt inside the post, yes. It is at its loosest right now and it does not give. Sometimes it's the opposite, too much bounce. I find that loosening the cap at the top of the tube, right under the rubber springy cover does have quite an effect sometimes. I just can't get it to be relatively cushy/springy permanently. Once I get it cushy, after a few rides, it becomes stiff again. There is plenty of grease inside, I dismantled it twice already.
That chain feels like someone is hitching a ride on the back rack, hopefully it will give the would be thief way too much hassle and he`ll keep on walking instead of riding with our bikes away.
@america94 perhaps the top part is binding once you tighten the inner bolt? or it just gets tired and keeps on taking extra long siesta...hope you get it sorted out before the rest of us start having same symptoms.
The new seat did help but i still feel the discomfort, it must be all those years of being lazy or away from riding a bike has came back to hunt me and i just have to pay my dues. Still i like it much better than the original besides it matches the rest of the bikes color scheme.

Thanks for the info.

Love your bar bag, ROCKBROS makes nice stuff.

I think any seat will need to be trained, in a manner of speaking. I'm sure you'll eventually feel no pain. I'll play with that adjustment screw under the seat, could use more movement.

Noticed in your garage you have a Red snow blower, a Red lawn mower... Guess your Téo had to be Red - no question. ;)

Thank you @Denis Shelston , very handy and well made and fits that spot like a glove in my opinion.
I am hopping that the "growing pains" will eventually go away.
The snow blower "Roper" was made back in 1973/74 in Ingersoll Ontario, i got it from the original owner in Brucefield Ontario about 20 years ago in rough shape , did not run at all. Fixed the engine and it run beautifully for 10 years , than it just got too tired and quit, replaced it with a brand new one from princess auto, sanded and cleaned everything and gave it a once over with some farmers red paint, looked at it and decided to call it " Big Red". There is something about all the stuff from that era, all of it was well made and right here in Canada. I just can not bring myself to trow it away. Still got the original engine, some day i`ll make it run again, a winter`s project perhaps.
Ok i`ll shut up now and go away.

When I was riding last night, I put a finger on the seatpost suspension part as I was crossing bumps (thinking that was a stupid thing to do!). To my surprise, it was working fine although I could not feel it bouncing. I realized 2 things:

1. I set it too loose and my bodyweight alone (192 pounds) sags it at what seems like 50% at least. So there is not much give left.
2. I used to really feel it going up and down before I fiddled around with it and shot silicone inside for testing purposes. Now it works so much better that I don't even realize it is working.

I will play with the inside screw ring adjustment to make it tighter so I don't sag it so much without losing the suspension effect.

So no worries after all, it is working just fine, just hard to fine tune.

Another thing @AguassissiM: since most sources strongly suggest to set the seat at a perfect horizontal level to be comfortable - and since I could not set mine level with the post rotated 180% - is it possible your seat has the front pointing upwards and that is (at least in part) causing your discomfort?
Not possible since I have experienced the pain before turning the post 180* and on the original seat, yes it was set up flat as is the new one and it feels like I'm riding around with a sofa seat attached to my bike. More than likely it looks rediculous and I really do not care as long as I'm confortable.
As far as adjusting yours when the post is turned 180* I have not tried it with the original seat so it just may not be possible, if I have time to do the switch I will let you know how it works out.

Genius! Great water bottle holder!

AguassissiM, In another thread you put a link to the Foldyseat. I am wondering if you got one? If so, do you like it or not? In reviewing these pictures it looks like you may have a custom seat, but not a Foldyseat.

@j petersen
Got confused by all the choices and ordered this one instead, it is shorter than the original, I find it more confortable.Picked the Red/Black to match my Teo.
