My Supercharger 2 Charging Port Flap falls off and is difficult to put back in place.

I ripped mine off and left the port exposed. Its totally worthless and shame that a 8K+ bike has a rubber flap that easily comes off and is difficult to close. I am taking my bike for tune up and will ask them if just leaving the port open is OK.

It sounds like debris/water is not good for electronics via the charging port. I found a water-proof material to make a "plug" to fit in the port - under the cover. The cover does not stay closed/sealed and I would hate to have such an inexpensive item (port cover) be the ruin of delicate/expensive components. A small inconvenience to remove the "plug" to attach the charging cable.

I have been told that Riese and Muller has created a hard plastic fix which will be available soon. Your solution is impressive.

Even Trek do a neat magnetic cover. It’s high time R&M gave everyone a free updated charge port cover. Outrageous flawed design on such expensive bikes.
