Two years ago my wife and I gave each other Voilamart 48v 1000w ebike kits for Christmas. I then proceeded to convert the bikes we already had. The kits worked great, but I didn't really like the bike I inherited from my dad. (Not my style...)This Christmas my lovely wife gave me a new Retrospec Chatham beach cruiser, which I assembled and put under the tree. I have now completed the conversion, and couldn't be happier. My style!!
We live on a basically flat island, and just ride for leisure on paved roads and trails...

Why yes, yes it is! I got it to match the seat, and didn't really like the one that I had on the Raleigh. It is held on with industrial strength velcro...

Yes, beach cruiser bars come back too far for me. Also wanted a "retro" look. I have had a few"choppers in my time...
