My 2nd ebike.. this time with killer motor

The ultra is capable of MUCH more power than the bbshd. Of course since I'm stuck with CANBUS, and limited technical skills, I doubt I'll ever see more than 1,000 watts. I do wish the ultra was as quiet as the bbshd.

My point was the man didn't need anything like the bafang ultra

a bbshd teamed up with 36 chain ring and 52 rear cog will climb steeper than you can ride. The motor will pull until the bike either looses traction or wheel stands over. Thats on 48volts

Got the Rize RX today and out of the box and riding in about 2 hours. The bafang ultra motor is just incredible. Hills I used to go up at 8 mph I now go up at 16mph without even thinking about it. The throttle is ridiculous. I don't plan on using it much but it is a lot of fun. Quality of the bike is o.k.. It's nowhere near the quality of my Haibike with Yamaha drive and shimano hydraulic brakes but for the price paid, I'm happy enough. The only real issue I'm having is fitting the front fender. No matter what I try, it rubs on the tire. I've read here about people complaining about the bafang ultra motor noise. I only have a few miles on the bike but so far the motor is quiet. The only complaint I have is that the motor keeps on running after you stop pedaling,maybe for a half a second but IMO it shouldn't do that.
