Magnum Metro Plus or Easy Motion Evo City Pro?

I'm trying to decide between the two ebike models above.

Major pros of evo city:
Torque Sensor
Higher build quality
Less rattling (light, fenders, etc)

Major pros of metro plus:
$1000 cheaper
Top speed for pedal assist can be set to 20 mph (class 2) or 28 mph (class 3)
Throttle can be used in any assist mode (city pro requires assist level 0 for throttle)

Has anyone ridden either of these bikes? The Metro Plus honestly seems like a better bike in many ways, but if the build quality is really far superior on the evo city I could see myself going for it.

I have over a 1,000 miles on my Metro+. It's bone stock except for a taller seat stem (I'm 6' 3" with a 36" inseam). I've had no issues with build quality. Nothing has failed yet. It will reach 28mph but with a lot of pedalling. In PAS 6, it really caps out around 25 or 26 mph. I cruise in PAS 4 or 5 at about 22 mph. My commute is 35 miles and quite hilly, the battery will just make it using a blend of PAS 4 and 5, although I follow the 80/20 rule of charging/discharging so it could go farther but with a shorter battery life.

I only have one complaint. I've had the chain drop off the inside of the chain ring several times. I see that the EVO City has a front derailer so that wouldn't happen. I do like the simplicity of the 1 x 8 on the Metro+, it's simply less to maintain and will probably build a small piece to keep the chain from coming off (or installing a non-moveable derailer to keep it on).

The factory lights are okay, I wish they had a flashing function, but it's easy enough to change them out or install additional lights.

Build quality and less rattling is a pro I would give to Magnum. I don’t have a Metro, but a Magnum Ui6. I have zero rattling, and good build quality. I highl recommend Magnum, especially for the price.

Throttle on demand is also a huge plus. I use it fo quick starts,. Gets you up and going quickly, and out of the way of cars.
