M820 connection problems

I have a new bafang m820 with a dp c030 display. I tried using go+ and it will not let me set parameters. I get the battery and assist level control but can not set parameters just a spining wheel. I also tried the besst pro. i can read system and battery info but can not read or set parameters. Any help greatly appreciated.

From what I understand the Bafang Go app is total garbage and no one has had any success using it.
As for the BESST... A Bafang issued user name and password are required and they're not giving them to end users.
As far as I know... Your left to flashing the firmware to make any progress.
Search around here and other forums for more information on your options with this approach..

Have you tried using it?
Typically not active for changes.
Let us know... Maybe things are improving.

this is the first and only opportunity I've had to use it. I'm trying out lightcarbon's new gravel ebike frame. Everything else I have is shimano at this time. All I want to do is adjust the assist parameters to fit my needs. Very frustrating to say the least.
