M2S Ultra All Terrain Fat Bike

After waiting 9 weeks the Ultra Fat arrived two weeks ago. I didn’t find the stock seat all that comfortable so I replaced it. I also plan to replace the grips. The rear brakes made some noise straight out of the box but a quick adjustment and all is well. Other than these nit picky details the bike is awesome. I love it. More power than I need but I am determined to adapt.

Congratulations on your new bike. I ordered a Ultra last week so will probably not have it until Sept. or Oct. (hopefully).
Since you now have the Ultra would you possibly know what the rear wheel deflection is. I want to get one of the Topeak beam racks but the straight one looks like it could be hit by the tire when the suspension moves, and I will have to mount the rack as low as it can go on the seatpost since I am not too tall and need the seat in a lower position. Topeak has an "A' model beam rack that looks like it could work but I am worried that that one may sit too high with the MTX DXP bag on it. It is kind of hard to determine the fit when I don't have the bike yet, but I am trying to purchase certain things before it arrives so I will be good to go.
You mentioned you want to replace the grips. I put the Ergon grips on my Addmotor M550 P7 and they are nice and comfortable with the palm rest. I got the Ergon GP 1 while waiting for the new bike. I got them from Amazon for only $19.00 a pair. The price varies by the week, or day, so watch them if you like that style.
Have fun riding the new bike.

What are some thoughts on this ebike. Looking for something like this and my budget is around $3500. http://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...ull-suspension-electric-bike_60742684202.html Please let me know any pros and cons. I am new to ebikes and looking to learn as much as I can. Thank you
Nice bike but a little risky for me. For right around that price why not go with M2S or biktrix? Same bike and if you go with biktrix, don't know about M2S yet, at least your gonna get support. I don't know how much support you will get from China, j.s. if you go the China route let us know how that goes for you. ?

I agree with Rooster. This bike seems to have great specs. though it is not a fat tire bike. One of the riders from one of the forums recently bought a bike direct from China and it ended up costing much more that he thought it would because shipping was very expensive. I recently ordered the All Terrain Ultra Fat from M2S and while the price is more than the one you are talking about I will have piece of mind (hopefully) since M2S will be there if I have any problems.

Bugnut. I contacted M2S yesterday about what Topeak rack they thought would work on the Ultra Fat and they said the new Ultra Fat comes with a rack that can be removed. They said it is attached to the rear triangle. You might want to double check that with them.

Thanks for all the replays. I guess the main concern would be warranty issues. After the warranty is over it is pretty much bolt on parts no? Since the parts are used on 1000s of other brands shouldn't a LBS be able to work on it? The M2S Ultra is also on my watch list. I'm glad there is a rack. Please keep me informed on the bike. Thanks

Yea, warranty could be a major issue, especially if the bike is not assembled well (from the factory). I have heard some LBS do not like to work on electric bikes. I would double check with M2S on the rack that will now be on the Ultra Fat. I was really surprised when they told me it would have one. They also said it has a bell and derailleur guard (two items not shown in pictures of the bike. Once I get it I will let you know if all of those items are really there.

Picked up my All Terrain Ultra Fat FS Bike on Sept. 21. It arrived in perfect condition, mainly because UPS or Fed Ex shipping and loading departments never got their nasty hands on it. Outside of its 7000 mile ride on a container ship from China and then a mere 100 miles by freight truck from Long Beach, CA. to an Old Dominion Truck terminal in San Diego, it had a pleasant trip.

The bike is really nice looking and now comes with a sturdy frame mounted rear rack that you can attach if you want to. It also comes with a real neat bell/compass combination, a rear AAA battery powered light that can be attached to the seat post and a small tool kit. It does not have a derailleur guard. I went over every bolt and screw on the bike and had one bolt on the adjustable stem with a deformed head and one bolt on the front brake rotor with a damaged head. I imagine M2S will send me replacements. The only adjustment I had to make was on the front brake caliper which was slightly rubbing on the rotor. I was able to make it even more slight but not eliminate it. Watch out for the spinning rotor it could take your finger tip off. I have added a chainstay protector, Ergon GP1 grips and a Mirrycle handlebar end mirror. I also bought a shock pump which is a special pump needed for bike air shocks. After I ride for awhile I well see how comfortable the seat is, it doesn't feel too bad.

I set-up the display today and went for a short ride in order to do a tentative adjustment on the air shocks. I charged the battery yesterday, it showed full on its internal display but only had 50 volts showing on a meter. After charging it showed 54.4 volts.

Congrats on the new bike. Keep me posted on your impressions on the bike. Right now I am interested in the m2s ultra fs fat, the Frey ultra, the biktrik ultra fs. Guess I'm gonna have to do a spread sheet and compare costs. I do like mid 1000 watt motors. So far I think the Frey has the best parts and price, just need to see what the shipping costs are. I can wait for a good deal.No rush for me though.

Thanks bugnut. I will let you know how it operates. As far as waiting for a good deal I do not think there will be any, except on used bikes or maybe when a newer model comes out. As far as pricing goes M2S has the best price for a quality full suspension fat bike from a company that actually has an office in the US, not just a phone number. I think you said Frey is direct order from China, so while the price may be good any problems you may have with it could be difficult to remedy. That is what would worry me about ordering something that expensive from a vendor in China. I did though just order an extra, larger amp hour battery from a vendor in China for my Addmotor bike. I ordered it from a company that actually manufactures batteries and the price was about $300 less than buying it here. It will not get here until November, maybe late October. If it is a good battery I will probably order a 21ah battery from them for the new bike.
