Luna X1 Enduro Vs Specialized Turbo Levo Carbon Ebikes Head to Head Review

I agree with the reviewer here. Each bike has its place for certain types of tech riding and terrain. I would own both bikes in each category, but not Specialized. I would opt for a different mfg altogether, such as Commencal, Santa Cruz, Canyon, Pivot Shuttle etc over Specialized IMO.

What stood out to me was the downhill difference discussed. Can anyone hazard to guess the main reason there for the difference?

If you want a bike for challenging terrain the more refined torque sensing of the turbo levo may be a significant benefit. This is one case where throttle myopia might well lead to the wrong decision.

Have you ever tried a bike that has a throttle as an option that will run you at at least 20 mph ?

Yep, my Frey CC will go 35mph on throttle alone. It's nice to have throttle for city riding. The X1 and Levo are for trails, and for this use I'd take refined torque sensing over throttle everything else equal. The X1 has stupid long cranks so trottle might be useful to avoid pedal strike. Throttle on the X1 is pretty underwhelming, at least on the non-ludi version. If you just want a bike you can throttle of road, I'd get something else.
