Lower gearing on 700 XR

Hello,

For those looking to lower the overall gearing on your 700 XR this 40t chainring works great.

I was able to re-use the stock bolts (goes in the outer holes). I live in a very hilly area and like to stay in lower PAS levels so I can ride further so stock gearing was to high.

How much of a difference did it make for you in the lower gears?

It has allowed me to basically ride one sprocket lower that I was on with the 45T chainring. You can geek out on it using the sheldon brown gear calculater: https://sheldonbrown.com/gear-calc.html

I would not mind maybe even going to a 38t up front at some point.
