Known Issues & Problems with Eahora Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

I have an AM 100. I upgraded the controller to the 18 amp version and bought the bigger battery. I took it out for two rides and it worked great! Hill climbing is a breeze and the extended range is nice. But yesterday I went into advanced settings to change the number of PAS levels from 5 to 7 (I had changed it from 3 to 5 over a year ago) and when I exited advanced settings, the PAS mode did not work at all. The throttle works fine, but there is no assist when I pedal. I tried going back to 5 levels and it still does not work. Has anyone had this problem? I can't imagine that it has anything to do with a mechanical issue because the only thing I did was change the advanced settings.
Found the solution... I must have changed the sensor magnet number in the advanced settings. I reset it to 12 and everything works now.

Let me know if you found a solution. My PAS mode stopped working a couple days ago. Still works fine in throttle mode.
Found the fix for my bike... I must have changed the sensor magnet number in the advanced settings, so when I set it to the correct number (12), PAS mode works again.
Hi, glad to hear that. We recommend not to change display parameters easily.

My AM200 has two annoying problems. One, regardless of where I set the Slow Start(0-3), there is always a delay of about a half a pedal revolution. The setting makes no difference at all. Two, once power does kick in, it comes on very strong, too strong, and then it fades, sometimes to very low wattage, and the only way I can get it to come back is to change levels. I can't figure out what the assist is supposed to respond to. It doesn't seem to respond to either pedaling speed or torque.
I have several other ebikes and they all behave smoothly and rationally.
Any help is appreciated.

The problem here is customer expectations. Cheap (it's all relative) ebikes have serious liabilities and the "manufacturers" profit margins do not allow for any level of customer support. So when you buy one of these "bargains" you should expect that you're on your own. Some here get lucky or, good at self repair but tweaking a motor controller is not for novices.

If you're serious about riding, you should choose a manufacturer that has some customer service bonafides. For a cheap (<$1K) ebike with a large customer base and decent CS, Lectric seems to be about the only game in town.

BTW, I don't own a Lectric bike but 4 friends do. My first ebike (that was 6 ebikes ago) was a pre-pandemic Eahora. It hooked me on ebikes, but not the brand. I ride a lot so it was a horses for courses situation.

Did you find an address for Eahora headquarters in the USA? I want to file complaints as well. My battery never would charge. Eahora has essentially refused to help even under warranty.
Class Action?
Thank you.
