Key switch replacement

Has anyone had to replace the key switch on an Addmotor 48 volt battery? The switch is very sloppy when put into the ON position when compared to my wife's battery switch.

There a lot of models. Which one are you referring to? Some of the models look like the key lock is separate from the battery. My Ride1Up 700 series has a separate key lock unit that can be removed. It’s replaceable. Maybe yours is like that too?

Mine is an Addmotor M140. The key switch is built into the battery. I know the switch is the problem as there is no mechanical resistance when moved to the ON position. Of course, I have to run through the complete trouble shooting procedure from the factory technician.

Go ahead and pull the lock. Then Google 'Battery Lock for Bike.' Go to Images and you can find it. I have used this one. There are many.

I'm almost hoping that Addmotor tells me that the battery is out of warranty so I can go ahead and replace the lock myself.

Thanks!
