Just for fun...

If bumpers are for bumping, why do they come in so many incompatible heights? Playing bumper cars at an amusement park would be no fun like that. Volvos and some Peugeots had their bumpers on shocks and with rubber strips. When it got bumped it pushed in. Then you just pulled it slowly out. When a teen or old lady was trying to parallel park there was no insurance claim or damage. Peugeot and Volvo worked together a lot. For example in the late '80's they used the same V6 and were driven by Professors and other intellectual types.

We call these a "DUI bike".

Where and how does the Odyssey end? Very few people can tell you. They may think they know, adamantly, even more so if highly educated. If they are really cocky and certain, make a bet. It is not the Disney version.

Poseidon represents chaos and must be appeased. Demeter represents agriculture and civilization.

In Book 11 of Emily Wilson's translation of The Odyssey, the prophet Tiresias instructs Odysseus to travel inland to a land that knows nothing of the sea until a stranger mistakes his oar for a winnowing fan. This journey, aimed at appeasing Poseidon by bringing the sea to a place with no knowledge of it, is part of a final, necessary voyage to secure a peaceful death by planting the oar. That is where and when the Odyssey ends with the death of hero Odysseus.

As an old guy, don't know much about later Star Wars movies. Today learned of one called The Force Awakens.

First thought was that Luke Skywalker started getting old, and his prostate started getting him up at night to pee. Trust me, definitely a force that awakens.

Sometimes I think I need to go, but then nothing happens.
That's what I call the Phantom Menace...

The bit Nolan left out of the original, which obviously he had to is Odysseus and Telemachus grpe and trture their female slaves to deaf because they were grped by Penelope's suitors.

It was different back then.

When I answer the phone I say, 'Bike Service.' What is great is when a telemarketer calls I explain that this is the service department. They need to call the business office and I hang up.
