A vulture found a run over large rat a few days ago as I was riding by four-feet away when crows attract it in a coordinated maneuver. The vulture was at least four times the size but didn't stand a chance.

Bald Eagles made a comeback around here,when these critters are on a carcass the other birds politely keep their distance.For its size and makeup the Eagle is an incredible creature.

They can attack a full sized mountain goat, tossing it off a clif.
We have a lot of grain elevators that attract hundreds of pigeons. That has attracted a breeding pair of peregrine falcons. It is amazing to see the burst of feathers.

there was an instance of an eagle carrying off a baby around here the baby was killed as I understand it,seems like the nest was in a quarry,heard of birds carrying "yappy dogs " off,have heard of eagles killing quadrupeds attacking the back and severing the spinal cord( glad pterosaurs don't exist now!)

I have a glutton-knee in my hollow leg.
I am starting to get excited. I was the chief instigator for a gathering on the 15th. About 40 people, with lots of tots, will have a picnic in the wildflowers, sipping wine, flying kites, and do a kid egg hunt. It is an annual thing I started with 4 people 4-years-ago.

If people realized how fragile those dura aluminum tubes were perhaps they would reconsider sitting in one 30,000 ft in the air, the next thing people need to consider is how volatile hydrocarbon fuels are( rechargeable batteries are amateur in comparison.

I often see them at 30,000 feet and always wonder the destination. I saw one today at 60,000 ft headed toward Mexico City from maybe Anchorage today. Weird. Flights from NYC to Soul take a great arch. I always guess from where to where.
